Heartland Corvette Association Events for 2010

March

11th General Meeting @ Qwest Center 7:00 PM
13th Dinner at the Mattress Factory
12-14th HCA WINS BIG AT 2010 WORLD OF WHEELS
It has been several years since HCA participated in the World of Wheels car show but things fell right in the groove during the Thursday night set-up in preparing for the rest of the weekend car show March 12-14 at the Qwest Center. Participants: Brett, Flash, John M., Terry, Larry & Natha spent the afternoon & evening to trailer their cars to the event and put them in place. Members came together & worked like busy bees to set up the display, "a racing theme", along with promoting the NCCC, our sponsor H&H & of course HCA. The display was completed with video showing in-cam racing and pictures posted throughout the display of past socials, autocrosses & cruises that HCA has participated in. A lot of work went into this event & a special thanks go out to the Pearsons, Bouges, Coxs, James, Flash, Dan, Larry & Mumma's for setting up tables, TV/video, stations, running rope, moving cars & to Jeremy for putting the video together.

The work paid off with every participant receiving an award. The results were: Production Road Racer: Brett: Best in class 1988; Terry: Best in class 2003; Flash: Outstanding in class 1986; Larry: Outstanding in class 1985; Natha: Outstanding in class; Domestic Sports: John M.: Outstanding in class 1984. Thanks go out to members who also spent their time throughout the weekend to recruit 3 new members! Saturday night after the show HCA members got together for dinner at Piccolo's to enjoy good food & conversation, mostly about the car show. After the awards on Sunday, it was amazing how fast a display that took so long to put up went down so fast, again thanks to an HCA team effort. Congrats everyone!
